Russia suspends operation of Obukhovskaya mine after rock fall
MOSCOW, Mar 1 (PRIME) -- The Federal Service for Environmental, Technological, and Nuclear Oversight has suspended operations of the Obukhovskaya coal mine in the Rostov Region for 90 days following a February 25 rock fall, spokesperson Andrei Vil said on his Telegram channel on Tuesday.
The service is continuing inspection of the mine, discovering violations of the industrial safety regulations.
The Rostov Region’s government said that the three miners that had been trapped by the rock fall were brought back to the surface.
